Motor Capacitors

These motor start capacitors come with a resistor, also known as a bleeder, connected to the capacitor's terminals. The resistor allows the remaining charge in the capacitor to dissipate safely once the start capacitor exits the circuit after delivering additional startup torque. Capacitors with resistors prevent arcing, which can damage the capacitor's contacts.

These motor start capacitors deliver extra torque during startup and exit the circuit once the motor reaches its operating speed.
